Faith over Fear – Free Printable

faith over fear

When I was pregnant with Emery I was full of fear. Fear regarding his health (I was “high risk”), fear about my health, fear about delivery, fear about life after he was born, basically fear about everything.

I vividly remember driving to work one morning and praying “God, turn my fear into faith.” Those words went on repeat in my head for the remainder of the pregnancy and those early days after. When friends later experienced their own high risk pregnancies, I turned that prayer into this visual reminder.

Faith over Fear.

I’ve been reminded of those words recently and have thought more about what exactly they mean.

When we face scary and challenging situations, we so often look at fear as a safety net. “If I think about all the possible negative outcomes, then I’ll be prepared if they happen, I won’t be surprised or caught off guard. I won’t get my hopes up.”

But, oh how wrong that thinking is!! FAITH prepares us! Faith builds our hearts and minds and allows us to see God’s goodness no matter the outcome. Faith says God has a plan and is in control. Faith makes us strong and confident and joyful! Fear STEALS our joy!

I printed and framed Faith over Fear for a friend, and decided to make another for our house as a daily reminder. It is here for you to download and print as well. No charge, no email required.

If you’re facing a difficult situation, please print this out as a daily reminder that faith is the answer. Know a friend in the midst of uncertainty and anxiety? Make a Target trip to buy a $5 frame and give this to them with a card to let them know they are loved, prayed for and not alone.

FAITH will build and grow and comfort your heart. Fear never ever wins.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
“Do not be afraid; only believe.” – Mark 5:36
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

  1. Thank you for sharing your story and sharing your lovely Faith over Fear art!! I’ve used your art for our church children’s ministry to remind them that during this time (pandemic) God is in control and He loves us; Our God that is faithful and we don’t have to fear.
